Helsinki seems fond of these type of hand driersin restrooms, rather than hot air blowers. It may not be clear in the picture, but it's a big cloth towel on a loop. One pulls it down to get a new section of towel; and, a minute or so after one releases tension, the machine automatically retracts up the used portion into the back of the machine.
I suppose it's all fine and sanitary, but for me it brought back memories of earlier bad versions of this idea one found in dirty American gas station restrooms in the 1970s and 80s.
