The Pope of Copenhagen

H. C. Andersens Boulevard is a major thoroughfare on the west side of the Raadhus and the Stroeget. There's even an eponymous museum that shares its entrance with Copenhagen's Ripley's Believe It Or Not.

A 60-sec night-time exposure with my nifty Gorillapod. The photo has been lightened with Picasa considerably to show the detail better on the Web.

Double, Double, Toil, and Trouble

Another scalding geothermal pool near Geysir. This one was formed at an angle so that one can peer down the hole easily from the shore. The sparkles are coins people have thrown in to appease the Angry Icelandic Geysir God, Simmir. (Picture taken near dusk and lightened with Picasa to better show detail on the Web.)
